MCT Trails Closures and Construction
MCT Nickel Plate Trail
The City of Edwardsville will be rehabilitating the Center Grove Rd. bridge over the MCT Nickel Plate Trail starting Wednesday, April 9th, 2025. The trail will be closed from Edwardsville Township Park Connector to the Cloverdale Dr. connector starting April 9th through April 18th, 2025. For your safety, please avoid this section of the MCT Nickel Plate Trail during the closure.
MCT Nature Trail
The MCT Nature Trail is open at the IL-157 Tunnel. There will still be work taking place in the area of the trail and the connectors, so please use caution until the project is complete.
MCT Nickel Plate Trail
IDOT will be making repairs to the I-255 bridges over IL-162 starting November 4th, 2024 and will be crossing the Nickel Plate trail with equipment and vehicles occasionally. Please use caution while using this trail in this area until the work is complete.
MCT Nature Trail
IDOT will be doing repairs to the IL 111 bridge over the MCT Nature Trail starting September 3, 2024. The trail will need to be temporarily closed at times. For your safety, please avoid this section of trail.
