MCT Trails Closures and Construction
MCT Nature Trail
The MCT Nature Trail will be closed from N. University Dr. to IL-157 from Wednesday, January 29th through Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 for utility tree trimming. Please avoid this section of trail until the project is complete.
MCT Nature Trail
The MCT Nature Trail is open at the IL-157 Tunnel. There will still be work taking place in the area of the trail and the connectors, so please use caution until the project is complete.
MCT Nickel Plate Trail
IDOT will be making repairs to the I-255 bridges over IL-162 starting November 4th, 2024 and will be crossing the Nickel Plate trail with equipment and vehicles occasionally. Please use caution while using this trail in this area until the work is complete.
MCT Nature Trail
IDOT will be doing repairs to the IL 111 bridge over the MCT Nature Trail starting September 3, 2024. The trail will need to be temporarily closed at times. For your safety, please avoid this section of trail.
MCT Nature Trail
The MCT Nature Trail will be closed at the Esic Drive crossing for reconstruction of the road. For your safety, please avoid this section of trail during the closure.
